Student Council

HHM Student Council plans and organizes a variety of student activities throughout the year. The executive are grade 12 students who provide the leadership for the council and act as a link between
students, teachers, and administration. They are elected in the fall of each school year.

Grade level representatives are also elected each fall and make up the bulk of the membership of student council. They act as representatives for their peers and work with the executive to carry out
fun events and activities including:

• Spirit Week(s) and theme days throughout the school year
• Thanksgiving and Christmas/December Food Drives
• Annual Variety Show
• School Clothing Orders
• Collecting donations for and promoting Jamarama for the Janeway Children’s Hospital
• Collecting donations for the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign for Remembrance Day
• December Hygiene Drive
• Kindness Week and Anti-Bullying Activities
• Pep Rallies
