Ms. Cavanagh is excited to start this school year as a School Counsellor at Holy Heart. She has a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology as well as a degree in Special Education. For the last sixteen years, she has worked as an educator in various cultures/places and loves to travel. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her family, gardening, and reading. She loves drinking Tetley tea and listening to her favourite band, The Tragically Hip!

Mr. Lodge has been a proud highlander for the last 10 years. He has a background in physical education and math and has a masters degree in educational psychology. He is excited to be in a new position in guidance this year! In his spare time, he loves to “live the dream” by going on outdoor adventures and has a passion for endurance sport in running and cycling.

Ms. Samuelson is happy to be a Highlander at Holy Heart! She has a Master of Education (Counselling Psychology) degree and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). She has been an educator for the past 18 years, and has been at many schools on the Avalon Peninsula. She loves to sail, travel, cook, and spend time with her family and her 3 English Setters.

Mr. Perry has been a school counsellor for nearly 20 years. He has his masters of education degree in counselling psychology and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC). Personally, he loves to travel to new places and experience different cultures. In his spare time he loves to spend time at the pond, read and watch movies (favourite genre – horror). He also spends a lot of time watching his son play soccer and curling.

Ms. Becky Winsor
Ms. Winsor is passionate about helping students and has a particular interest in assisting with post-secondary planning and scholarships. She has a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education in Leadership. She loves spending time with her family, all things volleyball, crafting, and reading. Ms. Winsor will be going on leave as of December 1, 2023.
