English 1201, 2201 and 3201 are intended for academic and advanced students whose goals include post-secondary study. These courses are a part of the APEF common curriculum. Several strands of learning are common to all three courses; students will speak and listen to explore, expand, clarify and reflect on their thoughts, feelings and experiences. Students will read and view with an understanding of a wide range of literature, information, and media texts. Students will write and represent to better understand texts and media, particularly as they express their responses to them. These courses should be taken in sequence in Levels I, II and III. English 3201 satisfies the honours requirement for graduation purposes.
